Challenge
Port Orleans Brewery wanted a fresh look for their 3 Day Weekend Summer Ale. The goal was to excite their core audience without losing what people already loved about the brand. At the same time, the new hibiscus-lime flavor needed to feel inviting and fun, not intimidating or gimmicky. This beer was meant to be easy, crushable, and perfect for a long weekend, so the design had to match that feeling.
Approach
Flavor led the way. Hibiscus and lime became the visual foundation, adding color and personality while giving the can more depth. The art direction stayed playful and relaxed, building on the tone Port Orleans fans already connect with. The idea was never to change the brand, just to give it a visual upgrade that felt more fun and more confident.
Outcome
The new can helped Brand Society find the sweet spot for Port Orleans. They introduced a fresh flavor while keeping the beer instantly recognizable. The brewery was drawn to the updated look and more open to trying something new. The result was a can that opened the door for future stylistic exploration and success.
