BRANDING A HIGH-END HANGOUT

Challenge

Sidecar needed to bring together two things that don’t usually live in the same lane — a relaxed patio hang and a quality oyster bar. It had to feel a little elevated, but still easygoing and fun. A place for after-work drinks, dates, and long weekends with friends.

It also had to sit comfortably alongside local staples like Cooter Brown’s and The Rusty Nail — recognizable, character-filled spots with loyal followings — without blending in or feeling like “just another bar.”

Approach

We created a type-led identity that feels coastal, casual, and confident.

Custom lettering, flexible logo systems, and subtle oyster shell cues gave the brand personality without over-designing it. The system was built to work everywhere — menus, signage, merch, and the space itself — bold, simple, and memorable.

Outcome

Sidecar launched with a look that feels polished but not pretentious. It fits naturally within the family while also standing on its own, giving guests a brand that feels as welcoming and relaxed as the patio experience itself.
